No Pants Day
The first Friday in May is National No Pants day.
Vanessa asks, "Mamma why you got no pants on?"
Mamma, "Cause it's no pants day."
Vanessa, "Why, mamma?"
Mamma, "Cause you don't wear pants on no pants day."
Vanessa points to her legs, "I got pants on mamma. Why you got no pants on?"
It's no pants day. Why is Mamma the ONLY one who understands the freedom of this glorious day? The push back from friends and adult family was expected but you'd think a pre-schooler would understand. I'm afraid this post toddler is far too "mature" now for pantless parades.
Mamma, "Want a brownie?"
Vanessa, "BOWNIE!"

Grandpa's Wake
After the wake, the family gathered at the hotel bar. Not to worry though. It was a "family bar"...evidenced by the baby swing placed next to the wall of video gaming machines. Vanessa couldn't wait to get started pushing buttons.
2nd Degree Burns
Vanessa suffered second degree burns when she reached for a freshly poured cup of VERY HOT coffee. Mamma missed most of her father's wake because she was at the ER with Vanessa.
